As you all may know I’m working on a short film based on a young homeless girl, which I have finished shooting and nearly edited. Its great to see all the aspects finally come together. With that in mind, I already have a few scores from talented musicians in which I have already begun integrating within the film. However, today the Singer/Song writer Corrina Taylor who is creating a soundtrack for ‘Strum For Hope’ will be recording an acoustic piece live today in the studio.
I am extremely excited and so pleased to have been able to work with Corrina. In the past few weeks she has been working on the song, showing me snippets and working on the piece, where I’ve actually found myself singing/humming along to (thats a good sign).
Corrina is a very talented musician and has a wonderful voice. She is absolutely dedicated to what she does and her passion shines through. At the age of 16, she won a national Songwriting Competition for Sky Sports for a song she wrote ‘Live For The Dream’. She’s also going to be studying at the London Institute of contemporary music performance (ICMP). Corrina’s also recently studied at Point Blank music College in London. I’m grateful to have someone to experienced and passionate in their field on my short film and can not wait to
Here’s is an example of Corrina’s work. She’s also on Soundcloud and iTunes. You can also check out her Facebook page and Twitter. She has several amazing soundtracks complimented with acoustic instrumentals and a sincere vocal.
If you haven’t seen the trailer for ‘Strum For Hope’, then please give it quick look and let me know what you think.
