Happy Holi to all! The festival of colours.

So I know Holi was yesterday, but I didn’t get a chance to post, so I thought I would post a very Happy Holi to all my followers today.

Holi is a Sping festival celebrated with exquisite, bright colours. Hindus believe it is a time of enjoying spring’s abundant colors and saying farewell to winter. It also has a religious purpose, commemorating events present in Hindu mythology. Although it is the least religious holiday, it is probably one of the most exhilarating ones in existence. During this event, participants hold a bonfire, throw colored powder at each other, and celebrate wildly.(Wiki)

Filled with stunning colours and so much fun, friends and family celebrate the festival by splashing powdered colours to each other along with a blast of celebration. It sure is one of the most fun festivals, where citizens in India are granted a special holiday just for the day!

“Holi is a time to reach out with the colors of joy. It is the time to love and forgive. It is the time to express the happiness of being loved and to be loved through colors.”

Though, due to the weather here in UK being very mundane and lets just say icy  celebrating with colours outside is very difficult. Therefore, if you ever want to experience Holi, then you MUST celebrate in India. Thus, there you would have so much fun and I guarantee you would be visually be stunned.

Here’s a splash of colour from ME!
